
Darrin Edwards is not a household name but he is someone who is on the path to making thousands of lives better. He has been in the education system for near on four decades, becoming one the youngest deputy principals at the age of 25, and a school principal for a quarter of a century. While he has led hundreds of teachers and tens of thousands of kids over his career, it is his more recent work in a regional leadership role helping the capability development and wellbeing of school principals and leaders generally that we unpacked today.
We are all leaders in our own lives, whether at work, at home, with our kids or with our friends. We don’t need to be principals of a school to get the benefit of this conversation. Darrin has developed a model to help leaders deal with stress and mental wellbeing so that they can strive not just survive. We were lucky enough to unpack this with him in this conversation with the hope that we can all be better leaders, better people in all facets of our lives.
